Antigua and Barbuda Geology

The geology of Antigua and Barbuda is part of the Lesser Antilles volcanic island arc. Both islands are the above water limestone “caps” of now inactive volcanoes. The two islands are the surface features of the undersea Barbuda Bank and have karst limestone landscapes. Barbuda is primarily flat and formed from coral reefs.

From wiki – Not in USA Smithsonian lists?

Question? Was there a squeeze around Flinders range about 5,000 years ago and did this area scrape over the sea floor trying to reach Margaret river causing friction and the volcanoes? The hills are quite low lying? Well, it is a lowland freshwater swamp area, did all the water cool the upwelling? Local rainfall, 5,000 years ago? It’s on a coast which catches the weather from the Roaring 60’s.
